Marketing Intern
Note: We recruit for interns 3 times a year. Please specify which internship and the time frame in your cover letter. Applications for the fall can be submitted in July/August, for the winter/spring in November/December, and for the summer in March/April.
Responsibilities:
- Help with day-to-day marketing strategy activities
- Market research
- Event set-up and promotion
Skills/Experience:
- Proven ability to work independently and take initiative
- Experience and coursework in marketing preferred
- Great interpersonal and written communication skills
- Interest/experience in sustainability consulting
- General understanding of Internet technologies
Additional Information:
- Part-time (15-20 hours/week)
- Compensation: Stipend dependent on results
- Location: Can work remotely but DC-based intern preferred
- Duration: 3.5 months, with option for extension

Research Intern

Responsibilities:
- Research topics related to sustainability on an as-needed basis
- Provide background materials for consulting projects (ranges from green building design to green procurement practices)
- Summarize research results
Skills/Experience:
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to quickly and concisely summarize data
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently and take initiative
- Interest/experience in sustainability consulting
- General understanding of Internet technologies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Help with newsletter and client-facing materials
- Participants in special events planning and execution
- Research and outreach
Qualifications:
- Strong writing skills
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
- Interest in sustainability/'green' topics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
